    Rebecca Godbey Cummings attended William and Mary Law School and created Legacy Studio to use her 20+ years of experience in estate law to promote peace and peace of mind with a team of people who share her vision and values. In addition to offering independent trustee and/or executor and hourly administrator services, her team also provides family trust and estate attorney services to prepare estate documents.


    Michael Devine is an Executive Director and Trust Officer at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Atlanta, coordinating the implementation and delivery of professional corporate trustee services to individuals and their families.  He joined the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 2010, after 20+ years with SunTrust Bank where he focused primarily on trust services and fiduciary management.  Mike is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 


    Nick Djuric joined Djuric Spratt after practicing trusts and estates law for more than 20 years at Eversheds Sutherland (formerly Sutherland Asbill & Brennan). Nick practices primarily in estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax; wills, trusts, and administration of estates; tax controversies; fiduciary litigation; and private foundations. In particular, he works closely with private family offices and their professional advisors on multigenerational estate planning. 


    Adam Gaslowitz, founding partner of Gaslowitz Frankel LLC, is a fiduciary litigator who specializes in representing individuals, executors, trustees, investors, shareholders, and financial institutions in complex fiduciary disputes involving wills, estates, trusts, guardianships, businesses, and securities.  He is also an expert on mediation and alternative methods of resolving estate disputes.  Adam graduated summa cum laude from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with degrees in accounting and finance before earning a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He serves on the Boards of several legal organizations, including the Atlanta Probate Bar, and has served as an expert commentator on CNN and the Layman’s Lawyer. 


    Norrine H. "Nandy" Millner, is a Private Wealth Manager and Sports & Entertainment Advisor holding the SE-AWMA, CIMA®, CFP® designations.  She has over 29 years of investment and wealth management experience and works closely with individuals, including entrepreneurs, executives, entertainers, inheritors, and multigenerational families.  Having joined Merrill in 2012, Nandy began in the investment industry in 1994 at Raymond James & Associates as an Investment Advisor. She has also served in the roles of Private Client Advisor, Wealth Strategist and Regional Trust Advisor at SunTrust Bank.

    Annual Federal Tax Update

    Professor Sam Donaldson
    Georgia State University College of Law

    Samuel Donaldson came to Georgia State University after 13 years as a Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, where he was a five-time recipient of the Philip A. Trautman Professor of the Year award from the law school’s Student Bar Association.  A member of the Bar in Washington, Oregon, and Arizona, he has authored and co-authored many books, including the Price on Contemporary Estate Planning treatise published by CCH and the forthcoming West casebook, Federal Income Tax: A Contemporary Approach.  He is also an amateur crossword constructor, and his puzzles have been published in The New York TimesThe Los Angeles TimesThe Chronicle of Higher Education, and other outlets.
