The Riley Case: Can this Case be Saved after Tax Reform?

"Meet" JD and Mary Riley, who, at age 70, are considering exiting their $18 million business (an S-Corp) and transitioning to family philanthropy. Tens of thousands of dollars have been spent, over the last couple years, on planning fees. The attorney, CPA, and financial planner crafted the perfect plan. But did JD and Mary sign? And now, will Tax Reform kill it dead?  In this interactive session, we will work across our disciplines to advance this case to a successful conclusion.
